This is for anyone who has eczema / auto-immune diseases and may have overlooked the issue of Gluten. It is believed to be the root caused of all problems. When I first removed and stopped taking gluten (mainly breads, cookies cake and pastries), I could feel the rapid improvement of my condition (eczema).

Exactly what is it about gluten that causes the problem?
The main problem with gluten is that it isn’t always digested properly in the gut. The enzymes required to digest gluten properly are not present in our guts in large quantities, so there is a portion of gluten that doesn’t get digested, and this is where the problem starts.
These short undigested proteins, the main one being gliadin, get absorbed into the bloodstream, and the immune system immediately notices that there is something foreign in the bloodstream which shouldn’t be there. The immune system therefore decides to respond with an attack, which after all, is the right thing to do. This reaction is what starts the damage.
If your digestive system is one of the sensitive ones, and the undigested gliadin finds its way into your bloodstream, your immune system will respond. Unfortunately, this reaction can get stronger and stronger, and progress to serious ill-health as time goes on.
A startling figure for gluten sensitivity
According to a top researcher in this field, one in ten people have a sensitivity to gluten. This is different to coeliac disease, which is a life-threatening disease, although half of all coeliacs also experience neurological disorders. A gluten sensitivity interferes with the digestion and absorption of nutrients, which can lead to many health disturbances, some of which are listed below:
• Neurological dysfunction, including headaches and migraine
• Anger and irritability
• Learning disorders
• Lethargy and listlessness
• Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
• Poor growth
• Constipation and/or diarrhoea
• Abdominal pain
